The Project
Not a band. Not a DJ. Both and neither.
Saddle & Synth is not a band – there are no four people in a rehearsal room. It is not a DJ project either; nobody stands behind the decks. The music is made with generative artificial intelligence: melodies, arrangements and voices are generated, listened to, discarded and generated again until a track holds up.
What remains human is the decision – the selection. Someone defines how a steel guitar and a mainstage drop should sound together, and throws out everything that misses that picture. The result is a sound that did not exist before, because these two worlds usually stay apart.
We do not hide this, we put it on display. Every release is labelled as an AI production, and under “Behind the AI” we show openly how a track comes together.
