Photographers call it the golden hour: the last hour before sunset, when the light comes in flat and everything looks warmer than it is. It is the only time of day this project was written for.
There is a practical reason. Country music tends to sound best in daylight and electronic music tends to sound best after dark. The golden hour is the narrow window where both are true at once, and that window is exactly where Saddle & Synth is trying to live.
A playlist that fits
We keep a public playlist of tracks that sit in that same window — our own material plus songs from other artists that get the balance right. It is not a promotion vehicle. Most of what is on it is not ours.
If you want the short version: put it on around an hour before the sun goes down, somewhere you can see the sky, and do not skip anything.
